camp cook needed
I am looking for a good camp cook to run the kitchen in my bear camp this upcoming season. It would be for approx 3-4weeks, from mid to late may, until June 15th. I know it's short notice, but my previous cook just recently informed me that she can't make it back this spring. I have a drive to camp ...

Re: flat bed for a pickup what are your opinions
flat beds on pickups are the only way to go in my opinion. They are SOOO handy, that is if you use your truck for actuall work, and not just to drive to church and back!!!

Re: Question for Bear Bait hunters .
Fish of that kind can be AWESOME bear bait!! Way better than fish like carp, or suckers. Make sure to check that it's legal, some places game fish cannot be used as bear bait. To answer some of your questions,

Astro...entering coordinates?
I was wondering if somebody could help me figure out how to enter the coordinates of a location and mark it on my astro. . . . . or if it's even possible. I want to use the astro to mark a location 100 miles from here, the location needs to be exact. I have the coordinates but can't figure out how ...

Re: Cheap Bear hunts!
If a person doesn't want to stay in bear camp and is willing to take care of their own lodging and meals, I'd do a5 day hunt for $1,200 per person! ! ! Check the website for dates, or give me a call for any more information. Thanks for checking us out.

Cheap Bear hunts!
I'm trying to fill a few dates in this years bear season. I run a fully operational backcountry bear camp here in western wyoming. We can't run bears here, so all the hunts are done over bait, we cater to the archer but all weapons are welcome. Tags can be purchased over the counter! If anybody is ...

Re: Race distances
Bartamenko,
I've seen 50 to 60 miles several times, especially in the fall on dry ground. If you are doubting that this guy has had his dogs go 60 miles, then I'm doubting you've been on many chases.

Re: Branding your hounds
Thanks guys, that makes sense.......
When you brand your dog's ears, do you do it the same as you'd do a horse.....shave the hair and clean with alchohol?
what's the best way to keep the dog from moving?
Thanks again

Branding your hounds
I was just curious on everybody's opoinion about branding their hounds. Is there any real benefit, Or is it unecessary? I've noticed quite a few people do it, I actually own a hound with a freeze brand on it's ear. I freeze brand all my horses and mules, it would be pretty easy to do my dogs if I ...

Re: Illegal outfitting
I think there is a lot of misunderstanding between the MAJORITY of outfitters and the MAJORITY of local hunters within a state. There will always be the residents who will do everything they can to compete with and try to ruin the lives of outfitters, having no respect for a person just trying to ...
