Re: Keeping Records
I did in 2012, too lazy to do this year. It was fun and interesting. Kept track of of the number of day in the field (204), number of cats caught (28) and the tried to keep track of the bears, but lost track at 50+. Also kept track of the trash we caught...which with my welfare recipients was pretty ...

Mountain bike
Bought a mountain bike and decided to combine mountain biking and lion hunting...one of my more memorable experiences. If anyone wants to try it here's some things to consider - 1: Frozen mud thaws 2: What you coast down you have to pedal up...did I mention the thaw? 3: Apparently mountain bikers ...

Re: Bear Contest
I don't follow bloodlines much, but I'll tell you what I know. We own both the sire and the dam. The sire is blue tick that came out of Colorado by way of Van Johnson's breeding. The dam is a little walker, Whitecloud breeding, that came from Charlie Helquist. All three of the dogs with white in the ...

Re: Training Conditions
To clarify what I meant by "foundation training" - this is at the point where the dog recognizes straight game and reacts to it by striking/rigging/alerting.
Would your definition differ from that?
