Re: Attention Colorado Lion Hunters
Here is my opinion. We are to the point that if we don't stick together we will loose it. Quit killing females and stop thinking about that $. Outfitters-when they shut us down I hope killing those females were worth it.

Re: Colorado
The problem is you better have solid evidence. There has been afew guys turned in and the DOW can't do much. We had an outfitter last year caught a cat and called a guy 200 miles away to come shoot it. This sport is so much fun but we are our own worst enemy. I am just tired of the female killing ...

Lion season finally starts tomorrow. It will be interesting to watch social media to see if the same outfitters brag about taking females. It just blows my mind why they would brag about taking a female. If you are that desperate for money go get a real job. I do understand in some areas they are ...

Re: This sport is dead or dying?
COLORADO were on the same track. This just burns my a--. People are so unaware of what we (sportsmen) are all about. Quit wearing your emotions on your sleeve and just manage wildlife. If these outfitters don't QUIT KILLING EVERYTHING they put in a tree this will happen in our state. If money is ...

Carma. What comes around goes around. Messing with a mans dog is basically messing with family. Catch him in a dark alley.

Re: Colorado Lion Hunters
Well all i can say is we keep killing females the sport of lion hunting in Colorado will be short lived. I have guided biggame hunters (including lions) for 20 plus years and the only reasons outfitters are killing females is for the money. Open your eyes ladies and gentlemen. We have been asked to ...

Re: Colorado Lion Hunters
I agree. I attended a meeting last year at the end of the season about female harvests . There were multiple outfitters there and I asked why they were killing females and no one would answer me. I am sick of these guys just worried about money . Me and the buddies that hunt together do it because ...

Colorado Lion Hunters
Hound hunters please remember we are still being looked at closely in this state for the over harvest of females. For those of us that love the sport of running dogs and not just trying to make a buck, please release the females. We have been asked multiple times to lower female harvest. It is not ...

I actually have a dog that lives inside. I always said I wanted a good lion dog and make it a pet. Well believe it or not I own one. She stays in the house every day and night and is turning out to be one of the best dogs I have owned. She turned 3 in may and has been on 10 plus lions and is ready ...

There is a meeting this Thursday the 20th in Salida concerning lion hunting in Colorado. I am sure the harvesting of females will be a hot topic. I am having a hard time getting info on a time and where the meeting will take place. If anyone has more info please let the rest of us know. These ...

Colorado female harvest
Quotas are being filled fast in Colorado. A meeting was set up last year (by an outfitter) about female harvest . It looks like we are cutting our own throats again by killing females. If you make a living by taking hunters charge more, take less hunters and quit killing females All you are doing is ...

Re: New Mexico Zone A GMU 2&7
We have te same problem in Colorado. If we as houndsmen dont quit letting this happen this sport will be a thing of the past. Outfitters if you cant make a living harvesting males find another career and let those of us that love the sport continue to enjoy it. I would like to see some type of ...
