I definitely appreciate everyones advice. I will be moving to Northern Kentucky next summer, and was trying to figure out if I could try to start getting big game hounds, but I think i can see that it probably won't be feasible. I would be able to take dogs out pretty regularly, but they would never ...

How much time do you invest in hound hunting and training?

I have been considering once I graduate to get some hounds and try to get into big game hunting. I am just curious how much time people put into hunting hounds? I really don't even know how to quantify it, whether it be days in a week, a month whatever you like. Also, what do you feel is an adequate ...

Yes I did know that they preserves will import them into their properties. The guy we hunted with I do believe will catch them and bring them on to his property from time to time, but it is large enough that they do run wild.
But if you are running an operation like that, you would probably ...

I have an uncle who has been putting in for a long time for a big horn sheep hunt in Colorado. You never know though, your number might just get drawn.
I have a similar story to yours on getting permission to hunt on property. Older farmer was on the side of the road late one night with a load of ...

We hunted with Rock Hill Hunting Preserve, Todd Pearce is the owner. Great guy, I have hunted with him 4 times now and they just treat you great. Todd usually brings along his two young boys and we have a lot of fun. He said he has been operating his place for about 5 years now. If anyone needs ...

Okay guys sorry for the long wait for pictures, I just got them uploaded from my buddies camera tonight. Here are some pics. One of the pics is of the dogs baying a hog at the corner of a fence. The hog took off for that corner, and it had nowhere to go. That is the hog I took. One of the other guys ...

Can you run bear with hounds in New York?

My fiance just got a job in Rochester New York, and I was wondering if you could run hounds in New York on bear. I figure I will be making my way up there often over the next year and a half, thought I might mix in a little hunting while I was up there. I see there are bear there, but havent seen ...

If you are willing to put in your time and pay your dues, what kind of money can a guy make guiding big game hunts? It is a dream job for many of us, and I have definitely considered it. I know I would not get rich doing it, but I do know I would love and enjoy what I am doing. Does anybody know ...

Yeah, that should be cheap and easy to do. Haha. Actually the rug was reasonably priced I thought and and was very well done. $729. Is that good?

Bear Rug from Bear killed in NC last year

Here are some pics of the bear rug I just got back from my hunt in North Carolina with EastTennGator last year. We had an awesome time and hope to go back with Gator some day. The bear weighed 300lbs. Gator and his friends were some of the kindest and greatest people to hunt with and made my first ...
