Re: Using a bully breed for other game
Slobberdoc beautiful dog!
We have ran pure and crossbred pits and other bull breeds in our packs for generations. They are not lead in either these are all running catch dogs we use here in Hawaii for boar. We have used them on occasion for goats and wild cattle as well.

Re: Lost signal on GPS
I run both GPS and Telemetry collars on my dogs its a safer bet in case something happens to the GPS collar. I hog hunt so ive had the collars destroyed by boar's, GPS antenna wires cut/bit same for the VHF antenna etc. Telemetry just gives me a piece of mind I can find my dogs if the GPS fails for ...

Re: Loose antenna on the DC30
Neff,
Sorry for the late reply!
You do not have to loosen the four corner screws as stated above. Just remove the 2 screws that secure the backing plate>Remove backing plate and lift off collar from the 2 backing plate mounting poles>This will reveal the rubber boot that is covering the antenna ...

Re: australian hunting dogs
Yes we hunt these types of dogs and most everything else. As Pops stated we have dogs from Australia here in Hawaii and a lot of other places as well. But to be honest Boar Hunters here have been breeding and crossing so many breeds including these for many generations before bringing them in from ...

Re: nosler accubond bullets
Aloha Scott,
Thanks for clarifying what you meant. No need on the bergers I go through thousands of them. The only ones ive had issue with in the past were the 115 25 cal. bullets they would pencil through alot even on shoulder hits. This was during the changeover per se between hunting/match ...

Re: Do you catch and hobble your hogs or do you stick them?
Here in Hawaii we do all of the above it just depends on the situation like others have already stated. For me personally alot of my food comes from the mountain and/or the sea I hunt and dive regularly to feed myself and others. But we do let go alot as well we also castrate and mark boars we catch ...

Re: Astro 220 question
I would also look and see which signal the collar is losing
there are two signals the VHF signal which is the link between the 220 handheld and the collar.
And the other is the GPS signal which is with the collar and the Satelites.
Then somthing else to consider.. You have the 220 Handheld GPS ...

Stevemac- Yes, the approach is VERY similar to your style of hunting just wish we had some flat terrain around here too. I remember him saying something about Adelaide but im not sure if thats where they hunted or just stayed for part of thier trips there.
Beautiful Dogs you got there!
