Re: Support Sagebrush rebellion
In My state anyone that wants access to DNR land now has to buy a permit. It costs 30 dollars a year. The WDFW Has been buying land as fast as it can. Reason why, wa state sells over 500,000 hunting licences every year. Most hunters hunt on both state DNR and federal land. Some of the time its all ...

Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
Well the hound council is holding the banquet, But Olympic is the host. If that makes any sense. I'm not sure if they would get pissed off or not.
I'm all for an organization that is politically driven towards getting houndsmen more time in the woods. And would join in a hart beat. Just wont be ...

Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
One thing for sure is green backs make the world go round!!! We need money to fight for our rights, membership dues are a drop in the bucket compared to the funding it would take to get our hunting back. Events are good fund raisers that alot of people enjoy. If you don't at least belong to some ...

Re: do you guys think that we have the best hounds and curs
I belive it really depends on your location, a state by state basis on the quality of hounds in a area.
In My home state of Washington I have seen a extreme deline in the quality of hounds in the last 15 years. There are really no old timers to speak of becouse of the bann on biggame hunting in 1996 ...

Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
Good Question,
The field trials and water races seem to do more harm than good when recruting membership. Most houndmen that I know could care less about plastic trophies, and I believe thats where the hound council seems to be having problems. If you really want membership to raise, you need to ...

plot/walker,
I my self, am very aware of the work LCSA does and the perpose of your club. I left one of the clubs in my area just for the reasons you stated. That club would spend thousands of dallors on trophies every year and not a single penny on fighting the anties. I could go all day on the ...

What kind of feed back are you looking for? At seven moths old I would start showing them live game and throw the drags in the garbage. But I'm never use drags and start my dogs only on live game, I guess that would make my opion one sided.

Re: Running with shock collars on
I always use my e collars while hunting. I use the beeper as a mian training tool. And like said before put the collar on just tight enough to that it cant roll around the neck and your fine. I rarley ever have to shock my hounds. But just knowing if I need it its there is more than comferting for me.
