Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
does the club putting the banquet on know about this going on in the grange that they rented out. might want to make sure no toes are getting stept on.....seems like something that should be asked before desided on.
Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
Well the hound council is holding the banquet, But Olympic is the host. If that makes any sense. I'm not sure if they would get pissed off or not.
I'm all for an organization that is politically driven towards getting houndsmen more time in the woods. And would join in a hart beat. Just wont be able to make it this weekend.

I think what Brian means is, the grange will be locked up tell the banquet is ready to begin in which there will be somebody collecting the door fee to get in. Also seems a little selfish to me to schedule a meeting on top of onther event taking place!! Some of us would like to attend both gatherings.....

Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
Buddy stated in his last post, he wasn't sure if he would attend but because of this gathering he will be there for sure now! I haven't seen any of you guys at the banquet the past several years- when no body shows up to this activities whether it be a council meeting banquet or event other then the people who wanna run events then naturally the council is gonna lean in that direction. Must agree it needs a change. But how many of you will show up, give your two cents an how many will continue to beat the dead horse on here!?!

Re: Role of a "Hound Council"
I will be there. I will also attend the banquet.
My problem with the Hound Council is that most of the time I didn't even know when meetings or banquets were planned. The web page is never updated, no one contacts me. As I posted several times, this isn't an attack on the Hound Council or field trial clubs. I realize that the folks running the existing organizations have a life other than their elected position and maybe it is just a matter of lending a hand. My main concern at this point is just getting the the meetings out to as many as possible. I personally hope this little movement or what have you is a part of the Hound Council. The folks I have talked with want an organization that focuses on the political issues that face hound hunters. If the council wants help organizing meetings with an agenda to focus on what this group of people are looking for then I am all for it. Maybe while we have some people willing to get rolling, a meeting could be scheduled by the Hound Council to address some of this. That is something we could all talk about at some time. But if it is to much of a hassle then maybe a different organization is the way to go. There shouldn't be hurt feelings. If we need to have our little chat down the road to make everyone happy then that is fine. Lets quit worrying about the little things like this and figure out something that works for everyone. We have a couple days what does everyone think?
This gathering will simply bring more people to the banquet, whats wrong with that?
This computer doesn't relay my tone of voice. I am not attacking anyone, so again, please don't take offense.
Thanks,
George
