Ryan, I have a trip planned in a couple of weeks to visit Larry Hendrix. I will find out what I can at that time, if you don't get an answer by then. Benny

Ryan, tell Bobby hi for me. I was working on the road down there and stayed in his bunk house with my two sons when the Rodeo/Chedisky fire broke out. We had to gather camp and go work on the fire out of Showlow.

Sewell only had three dogs the last time I was there, one of them being his JR dog. This was just before Sewell died. He mentioned JR in his interview with Bruce Kennedy. JR was out of a dog that Scott Derringer had and Sewell bought named Radar. JR is dead and no pups were ever out of him according to Leon Cox. Sewell only got one litter out of Radar before he was killed by his other dogs in the kennel. I had one named Sailor and he was a lion dog. He died at a lion tree before my Lilly dog was old enough to breed, so I lost out also. Lilly's momma was out of that same litter as JR and Sailor, and her daddy was Homer Bryant's dog Pooch, who went back to his Knothead dog, back to Dale Lee's Pilot, and right back to Little Brownie of the Evan's strain. So yes, some are still around. The other two dogs he had there were from dogs he and Leon bred through the years. Mixed with a little bit of everything. One was redbone looking and the other a Walker Bluetick looking cross. That's what I know about it. On a side note, while I was there Pat Wantland and Sewell were discussing Radar and his origins, another day I'll tell you where he came from. But I think you can guess. By the way, Lilly is for sale I just can't figure on a price for her. I just like playing with pups and she is five now. Hope this helps. Take care.

Kieth Wilkerson is the one who got what dogs Sewell had left.. the only one I'm sure of that he still has is a dog he called Eddy Lee.. He is nice kinda of dog a little babble mouth maybe but we trailed a nice Tom all afternoon and ended up with him in the bluffs and that dog helped..
