Wisconsin Bear season
Is anyone else going stir crazy waiting for July 1st?

You know it. The dogs are roaring to go. they are getting a little heavier then they should be. They have had too long of a break. Seeing any bear yet this spring?

Ive seen four so far but of course they have been in zone c and we run b. We havent started baiting either. HAve to road them dogs man and thin them down some lol.

What do you mean road em? My term of roading them would be to let them go in front of your and wait till they hit a track? What part of wisconsin you from?

We are from Northcentral Wisconsin. Yeah thats roading them but we use a trailer with leads on them an pull it behind a four wheeler to give them excercise.

what county? I live just south east of ladysmith if you kno ware that is? How is the wolf population up your way?

We hunt in Forest county. The wolf population is slowly growing around us. Not as bad as just north of us. We havent lost any dogs to wolves recently.

you boys really should make sure them bears are good and fed so us utah boys can come and run the hell out of em. Because there is no roading here we are running the real thing.

Can't wait till july!! Going to start getting dogs in shape this weekend! Got a new prospect for the year! We run the dogs along side the truck 11 miles a day to get them in shape now till july only on weekends so they are finally tuned machines come july 1st. It also gets them back striking bear teaches the young prospects what bear sent is .

I would have to agree, Have to run them dog!! Been working dogs all spring!! Already baiting and bears are hungry!!!! Seen only one, but camaras are packed with bear! Cant wait to let them run!

I have been so ready that i have been baiting the bear since the snow left. they are really hungry went threw bout 3 55 gal. drums already. there are so many bear here its not even funny. I started more bear last year from the box (rigging) then we did baits.

I have two new prospects myself and one on the way maybe even two. Its time to clean up the junk and quit messing with misfits lol. Every day gets hard and harder to not turn loose.

Hey bud, you might want to modify this statement. You can't bait until April 15th. Just trying to save you a headache.
