Video of the 2nd Day Lion...

Post by ChasinTail »

I posted up some pictures a while back of a lion that we were able to get on the 2nd day of a hunt for a client from West Virginia.... Here is the edited version of the video...I know it doesn't look like much editing was done, but let me assure you, I did my best not to give the bunny huggers much ammo to use against any of us...

Great Job ChasinTail Outfitters! Dang I almost feel like I was there with you.

That old lion up there in that ball of misteltow is a beautiful sight. If that hunter never goes on another lion hunt in his life he can dang sure say he did it up in traditional manner.

I will definitely add that Chris made one hell of a nice shot on that lion with an old iron sited .30-.30....it wasn't a little chip shot either, based off of memory and the video, I bet we were 50 or more yards away across that little wash.

A good mule is definitely worth it's weight in gold. Lots of people say "anybody could ride this mule" but most times that's a bunch of BS... when you have a mule that anybody could ride, you put a 6'6" West Virginia bear hunter on it and ride off... that's how Willy is...

Now that I figured out my editing software a little better, I'm hoping to get the rest of the video footage we have put together and post it up... that'll be a while though

Tyler, nice as usual. Why don't you send one of your culls up this way so we will know what a real hounds is suppose to be.

Thanks for sharing, jason

Poser, don't even try to play "humble hunter" using the whole "trashy mustang hound" BS as a cover up! You know you catch as much as anyone.... mentally unstable or not! Haha!

Great video... now thats lion hunting to me! :D :D :D
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Good job boys, any lion caught in the dirt is earned. I was impressed with the hrseback footage! If I would have been runnin the camera it wouldn't have been that steady.

Very nice ChasinTail! It’s Nice to see different styles of lion hunting and it can’t get any better than following a good pack of lion hounds through the country horse back and to have them tree as good a tom as that south western panther! Great footage great looking hounds as well as mounts!

It kinda makes me sick watching it... the mule I ride is 16+ hands and not exactly smooth... he looks more like a giraffe than a mule... he's gentle as heck though and really gets around in the rocks... not much for a camera mount though!

Ya great video. Those dry ground hunts are awesome. You gotta have good dogs to run cats in your neck of the woods.
