I like wildlife also we use them on hogs and they have always been good to me, i have a friend that uses rats and johnson collars but they don't seem to be any better i still like my wildlife. but i am sure that someone has had bad luck with them I also like to be able to change my batteries myself i do not use the sealed collars that is just my preference we have had collars that would not turn off because of the springs in them and we could take the batteries out to turn them off until hunting season was over and we had time to send them in to get them fixed this has only happened once in 15 years but it happened and i have heard of this problem before with all brands of collars just something to think about

I use Wildlife..

Worked really good for me.. But... I have had to send the same collar in Twice this year for screwing up. First time was the magnet switch Under warranty and without me knowing the collar wouldn''t turn off so it ran down my batteries quickly.. that't took some time to figure out..

Now with that Same collar, Wildlife has again for not beeping consistantly, Might beep every 2 second, or every 10 seconds... and it's a few months out of warranty.. I hope they Cover it since they just worked on it.

I also bought a used wildlife that I turned in to have the magnet switch replaced.. it's probably 10 years old i'm guessing.

So 6 months ago I could have told you I've had no issues.. But right now I'm pretty nervous about them and check them pretty often.

We'll but see if they can get me them back reliable to me by DEC 1st..I'll be pretty happy with them..

thanks every one. i have been using johnson and kleins but the kleins collars i have are strang. lets say the color # is 217. 765, i might be showin more bars on 765 but cant here a beep. but if i put it on 766 or 764 it will make a strong beep but not show bars. its like there 765.5 colors or somthing. i never can equal them out there always in between. i was just curious though. i havent never had problems with the johnsons but one guy i hunt with has tryed everything and he likes some kind of quiktrack collar the best. not the ones that come with the tracker but a more stronger and high powerd i guess you would call it, kind of collar. he said thats the best he has ever used. so i was just wonderin what everyones opinion was. thanks again for replying.

Those Quick track collars have a real strong signal and are very durable and longlasting, For the money you can't go wrong. I run Wildlife Quicktrak and WCTS.

Marshall!.... at least the new ones... since the begining marshall has put out 3 hound collars, that I have had. The first ones with "ground plane wire" on the bottom. They can have antenna strip out fairly easy,Which makes the collar dead in essence. then they built what I call generation 2 which eliminated that, the slightly change the machining on the collar. Then the generation 3 with or without light are alittle better than generation 1 or 2 BUT! they changed the L E D lights which suck compare to generation 2. overall they are still one nice collar.

Now I'm am testing out my Marshall fm4000, which so far is they way to go bar none. Their case/holster could still use a little work but, untill they call me to help with their R and D and poor marketing i'll keep hush. The products are very nice.

I use Johnson collars, The 16,000 hr., sealed Battery. I had one that would not shut off, I sent it back and they fixed it, had it back in less than a week.

Wildlife here. I use the magnum collars with the changeable batteries.
I think I'll try a magnum collar next. Just to see for myself if they're all that everyone says they are. Good luck.

Take it easy!
