Nice bear! I went to VT, so spent a good bit of time around Christiansburg. Do you hunt the Jefferson NF? Any of the other bears larger?

yea it was in jefferson national on brush mountain. this was the 4th biggest killed. the biggest was 272 lbs.

That great, we used to leave VT and drive 460 up to Brush Mtn, go right and ride that muddy ridgetop rd with our trucks and jeeps. Can you still ride through there?

thats exactly right. all 10 we have killed came off that mountain this year. i didn't get to hunt today but one of the guys called and told me one of our dogs got killed by a bear on the opposite end of the mountain, and one got chewed on pretty bad. these were two of our best dogs and it's sad to lose one this way but the dogs were doing what they loved to do---HUNT. thats really a bad thing when you have a couple of dogs that are just too fast they out run the other dogs and get stuck out there by themselves.
