i probably hunt alone 60% of the time. personally i love it the dogs always seem to behave so much better in there own group. on the other hand there is so much to be learned from other houndsmen. how can you trully know what you have until you see what someone else has. as far as safety if i am alone i never leave the truck with out every thing i would need to make it over night, no matter how close it may seem that i am going. i am also i firm believer in prevenative maintence on the vehicle i trust to take me where i must go. nothing worse than asking your buddy to give you a tow on a road worse then he would normally take his truck on...
