face barking
I've got a question for ya'll.I've got a B&T/Bluetick cross from Bettis stock over there in Ut.(she came from B&G's dad)She is 14 or 15 Mo. old and showing some real potiential. She has been doing great trailing, I even got to see her leading 7 other dogs across the mountain on a day old lion track. She is amazing on caged and released critters. Any way she didnt make the 1st lion tree 2 weeks ago due to some bad rock ledges
, but she did make the tree last sunday and was really doing great, sitting there treeing her ass off.My only complaint is that she would get under the tree and face bark at the other dogs. She seemed to be acting aggressive when doing this. When I saw her do this I yelled at her and she would stop. Then a while later she did it to another dog. This happened a few times.I smaked her the last time and she didnt do it again. This was her 1st treed lion (she has barked and chewed on dead ones as a pup). So what should I do about this.I cant have a dog that will start a fight, but she is GREAT in every other way. Thanks for any input.I'll try to get some pics up too.

Hey Savage; It sounds to me like your doing the right thing now and if after a few times of doing that if she keeps it up maybe put a e-collar on her and tap her with that, it's good you caught her before it becomes a bad habbit and if she's a smart dog she'll learn that it's not tolerable and she'll probably quit it, good luck and have a good1, Mike

Well I tell ya , it usually works pretty well when caught in a young dog but I have a friend that hunts with me some and he has a old plott dog that does it all the time on the tree and he has given up yrying to make him quit, I mean this dog will grab a hold of another dog, doesn't seem to bother him but that's 1 thing I won't put up with. Have a good1, Mike
