As many of you may already know, It's with regret that I mention Herb Kennedy Passed away last Wednsday of Cancer. "Pappa Black" as many know him from the Events and field trials was a Nice, and Kind man, he just loved a good hound.
I often think about Him, and His way of life and what he has lived through. A Black Man in the Country life of the Northwest, A houndsman at that. He surely stuck out, but he was accepted and be-friended and accepted by many many Houndsmen across the country. Although I didn't always agree with him, (Perhaps Like his Presidential Pick
) But I could respect how important that was for him, A man that has seen so much, to see a Black president, And I was happy for him to experience that in his life time. I Greatly appreciated Him and the time I got to spend with him, a few weeks ago, I was visiting with him, and got to see some of his photo's. It was a neat experience down memory lane, and makes a guy think that the love of Dogs knows no boundaries.
RIP Herb, We will miss you.
