Come on September and lion season!!!

I have been working at a ranch here in Ten Sleep the last 2 weeks and I went out today and did a little scouting. I am the luckiest girl in the world come lion and bobcat season! This place is cat country heaven. I can't wait to get my new dog and to get her out there this fall. I have had some really bad luck the last few years, but looks like my luck is changing getting hired on at this place where I live on a ranch that utilizes over 25,000 acres of land which range from 4,200' to 8,300' in elevation, and encompassing many spectacular landscapes. These landscapes transition from cacti desert to Aspen forests to deep limestone canyons fringed with giant Ponderosa Pines, to rolling sage covered hills, to multicolored rock layered canyons in the foothills of the Big Horn Mountains.

Here are some photos I took today while out on the 4 wheeler exploring my new hunting grounds. How lucky can a girl get!!

Well some down here are having to go right now but it's a bitch, we had 100 + every dang day and you got to be struck by lighting or blessed by the gods in blow sand and clay. Right here in my little haven we have been lucky but some of my Amigos haven't had it so good and El Gato is on the hunt.

I got a real deal old time bred south western dirt lion blue colored pup coming from New Mexico. She should be here tomorrow night. I am so exicted. Will be so nice to have all this private property to hunt her on. She will defintely have a good chance at making a fine hound. Should be a fun lion and bobcat season for sure and no worries about anyone beating me to tracks. I love this new job.
