My first buck of the year

Post by inchtowntracking »

Got this one today while I was out trying to scare a bear up a tree, but only ended up chasing some elk around. This is the biggest I have ever shot and my first velvet buck. In the picture is my sonny boy, he is hoping to get his first deer this year and he says it has to be a buck because a doe skull isnt as cool.

That's a good un! I hope your son gets his, that'll ruin him for life.

I been having him practice with our 22 mag and he shoots pretty tight groups at 50 yrds no problem. He will have to wait till hard horn though it is starting to get hot again here.

Good luck to him. I would rather be with a kid when they take an animal than to kill 10 myself. I was lucky, had some younger cousins that I carried. Now I have two sons and a daughter. My daughter has missed two (she can shoot at paper better than me). I keep trying to tell her to control her emotions, she said it's not emotions, it's shaky hands.Lol
