I had one that would crap on top of the dog box when I had him on the rig. He would also lift his leg and piss all down the side of the truck. Nasty dog!! Would make me so mad!!

I used to be able to single out which one of my dogs did it and punish them, When I did that I didn't have much problems. now I don't even know which dog is doing it. also have one that on the rig every bark he sprays shit everywhere. Wish I could help, but if you find the solution do tell.

They sell doggie diapers at any pet store.

I am to cheap so I used a needle and thread. I suggest using two people, one to comfort the dog, and one to do the sewing. There is nothing worse than cleaning poo out of a dox box. Unless your the one that has to do the sewing.

I would make sure to not feed before hand. Make sure they've gone before you load him up. Then couple his head to the truck/box. I would do it down in a corner, where he can't stand up. I've never seen one crap that couldn't stand up to do it... Or maybe just snapping him up in the corner would work. Never seen a dog that had to stand in it's crap, want to do it again. When he rides loose he can do it and run off.

The problem might be that the dog is scared of ridding in the dog box. Just work with him on some short calm rides and gradually build up the length of the ride. Once the dog is comfortable then they will usually stop.

Start when the dog is young, load them up, drive 1/2 hr and then stop and let them out, road them for a bit and they will clean out. I start all my dogs when young and they learn my routine quickly. I do this every time I go out and the dogs know they are going to be out in a short time and all wait to go. All of my dogs clean out very quickly once they learn the routine. It training just like any other training, repatition. They'll pick it up very quickly.

I hate a dog that craps in my dog box and for me it has never worked out. There is no such thing as a dog that should know better IMO. I have had enough hounds over the years and the ones that do never stay with me! That type of behavior tells me a lot about the dog IQ If you can change behavior you’re a lot better dog handler than me. Good luck with that dog I guess it’s what you’re willing to put up with and for me, been there done that !

Funny Stuff!

I had a buddy years ago that loved them big old dark blue long earned bawlers. He got him a pup from Jon J Hennemen( Minitsink Kennels). Now this was a pretty pup and had a bawl mouth that would knock your socks off. Bit this dog ( Meatball) he called him was dumber than a box of rocks. He had some grit and would bite a man if you didn't watch him close but Jim wanted to rig him.

Well he had the most disgusting habit :and back in those days we rigged them a lot on the hoods of our trucks with a mat and tethers built in, of taking a huge dump and then kicking his hind feet and just covering the truck with his waste. I told old Jim reckon this has to stop or I have to ride in another truck cuz this is bad. Well old Meatball was too much of a bully to put up with any dicipline about his bathroom manners so Jimbo had to go to the ground with him and old Meatball bit his ass. LOL! Swear to God I just had to set there and let this episode of Jerry Springer play out. Well with the help of his 300 Win. Mag. he finally got the best of the Meatball but it wasn't pretty. I had to change channels after that but he cured the old poop habit for sure. LOL!
