actually i watched it again today and all the big cats they left in the cliffs with their 25 dogs. Then they killed all the small females they had in trees... they didnt tie up and dogs even on one good tom, then showed the half dead dog that got it with the dead cat. Im sorry boys but the whole film was un-ethical. No tracking collars on half the dogs, didnt tie up any dogs (when at a tree) (and even when asked if they should tie em up), killed cats that looked too young to be away from the bitch.
But sure they had some good footage and some nice lookin dogs, i enjoyed that part but the video honestly made me mad. people like this will kill our sport! If we want to keep the lion population in check and be able to hunt them for many years we should be killing only the big mature toms. This in turn will make for more cats traveling in the woods in search of new dominating ground. Leave the females to produce and run another day, the big toms just kill off all the young males

Those females and young lion were ran off the carcasses of dead calves. They get paid to do it that is their job. When brent killed the toms that was for clients totally different deal. The reason only some of the dogs have trackers is they hunt on horses they dont all need collars. The reason they dont tie dogs up is they dont take leashes anyone that can hunt 15 to 20 plus dogs on dirt lion doesnt need them. These hunts were made over years and videod how they took place by men that feed their families doing it. I am ready to see part 3!!!

Great video, and some damn good dogs in some rough rough country catching in tough dry conditions. That's what he gets paid to do. I guarantee Brent Bunger wouldn't kill a female if it wasn't a stock killer that he's getting paid to kill. That guy is a Houndsmen and his dogs are the real deal. No need for tracking collars on every dog when they get hunted about every day off of horses and are as broke as your yard dog, not box hunted where that's the only time they get put down on a track. Funny thing is they come to you as well when you call them. Yeah there are a lot of dogs, but they don't get it done by staying home. You can get away with, and need more dogs in those conditions. If you don't like this video, in my opinion you don't appreciate the good dogs and the work put in to make dogs that will catch in that kind of rough country in the dirt.

I will call Northstar and ask them when they make part three, to put in big letters on the cover, REAL LION HUNTING ACTION, MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOME VIEWERS. MADE BY LION HUNTERS FOR LION HUNTERS. VIEWERS DISCRETION ADVISED. That should help.

I'm with rh on this one, most people will never even understand lion hunting like these guys do. When anyone on here sales dogs consistently for 10,000 a piece then u can talk. In my opinion its a great video. Bring on number 3 I'm ready. The lee brothers and people like Ben lily killed stock killers all the time to make a living and we don't bash them, they're all famous guys we all look up too and respect just like these guys will be to future hunters, and to some of us hunting now.

I have not seen the new video but have the original El Gato. I agree they have some very good video, but always wondered why they didn't tie their dogs up at the tree. And I wouldn't let anybody shoot a bayed up lion in front of my dogs with a bow. That is just to good a way to get a dog hurt or killed. Bows are fine for treed game, but even when somebody shoots a bear or lion out of a tree I don't turn my dogs loose until I have looked for the arrow. A broadhead sticking out of a dead critter can cut a dog up just as bad as a crippled lion.
