Ok so they have upgrade twice now from the dc 20,30,40. But has the receiver changed at all. Or has it just been a change in the collars.

Cool. That is what I needed to know. I can get a 2 year old system with two dc 20 collars for 400.00. It was only used once. Then the lady decided they were overkill to keep her dogs tracked in her barnyard.

SO I think i will do the deal with the lady for this garmin set. ANd then just upgrade the collars as i can. What is the biggest isue with the dc20 collars. Is it desighn and distance that are the down fall. Or are the dc20s ok for start up trackers.

the dc 20s are junk. poor water proofing very easy to over tighten antenna which then breaks crappy soldering inside. Pain in the ass using a counter weight to get the antenna to stay in right position. For a hundred bucks more you would be better off getting 1 dc 30 collar and astro that is brand new and still has warranty. Jmo
