Lion Hunters in Texas

Post by tomtom »

Anyone know of lion hunters around Austin? I know of some in west Texas but none around central. I have a pretty cut and dry lion situation and need someone who can be on the move when they steal another goat. Pretty random lions so I wouldn't recommend driving from very far. If you have any leads let me know. tom

I don't know many, but you might try Joe Burkett in Fredricksburg, (830) 928-4440 Cell phone.
He has a few but is on the road a lot...
I shouldn't be recommending him without his knowledge, but he might be able to assist with someone else if he can't.
Good luck and I hope it helps, John Ketzler
Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked why he takes his wife on all the road trips.
Phillips: “Because she is too damn ugly to kiss good-bye.”
Not sure if it's true, just funnier than hell. A been there done that moment.

Thank you for the info. I promise I'm not a pain; I will only call him if I need him. I have someone as of now. Thank you for the post.

Shorty and BignBlue on here both live in Texas and both lion hunt. They may have seen the post already, though.

Where are you located? I live in Menard a couple of hours west of Austin. Have some potlickers that will run a lion. How big is the ranch where you are loosing goats? I am very particular where I turn these dogs loose.
Adios,

It's not my place. It's a guy at work in Schulenburg outside of La Grange where I live. I ain't foolin with him anymore. He got a pup from me and was telling me about this problem and how he doesn't know what to do. I told him I thought I could find someone pretty easy to run it with dogs and he gave me the go... Well, somebody sent me a PM and when I told the guy about it he acted like chasin it with silly ol dogs aint gonna work... Oh well. Thanks for asking though.

I would expect to hear of more and more sightings of those black panthers now that it's time to vote again!!! :P :P
