does anyone know about jeff allen hounds

I acquired a 5 month old pup ,supposed to be out of jeff allens hounds,came from st george utah does anyone know of jeffs dogs and how good they are thanks

The ones that I've been around were dang nice. If you get one from Jeff, it'll be exactly like he says. If you get one somewhere else, it will depend on the person that you get it from.

Like Benny said it depends on the person. Who are the supposed parents?

Everyone seems to have one, but most aren't from Jeff or those who actually have the old strain. Most people are name dropping because somewhere the dog might have some Allen blood, but most claimed Allen dogs are fairly dilluted. Like these guys say if you know where it came from and the parents of the dog then you could track down what it is. Call Jeff and ask him, he'll tell ya.

The Allen bred dogs I was referring to are an old strain of crossed dogs that jeff has had for a lot of years. If his papers say he's double bred Sampson, There's a pretty dang good chance he'll be a good dog. I don't think you can go wrong with the Nance dogs. Odds are he's out of the Nance dog Jeff calls Ace who is a machine.
