Staghounds
Staghounds
After seeing some pictures of those stag hounds. I was wondering if anybody else had any pictures of videos of any of those sight hounds in action on coyotes. I was also wondering how well they work on catching coyotes and where I could possibly get one.

I never really have thought about coyote dogs in Idaho . I'm to busy breaking dogs from them and trying to keep them out of my fur shed.
Makes perfect sense . Looks like those stags would be great up here . Do most guys run cur type dogs or greyhound type dogs ? Grade dogs hard to get ?

LS-Stags have been in Idaho forever. With the PC search engine some one will enter STAG HOUND and get a foxhound type dog that is from England used to run Stag [Elk like Deer} in big pack for sport. In USA Staghound is a greyhound type dog used to catch and kill coyotes and has been around couple hundred years. Custer had them

Re: Staghounds
nice video all the dogs seemed same speed except to black ones the white ones seemed to be up front but there were two that were a bit slower were they pups or a different breeding
also were they all american breed stags or from england there were a few people around that used to use them on rabbits and ground hogs and they had to be be from england did not understand there thinkin the whippets worked better for that stuff and i proven that
always liked the look of the pitbull pitbull greyhound cross a stag coyote cross in theory seems like it would be incredible
i know a few guys using stags on hogs
always fun to watch one of the oldest ways of hunting i think falcontry might out date it li freediver

Re: Staghounds
I should have stated this in my post. That video isn't mine, nor do I know who it is. I just found it on youtube and posted it.
