Walkers -v- Plotts lion hunting poll

I've 93 years hunting experience with hounds, 70 of those years with walkers, the rest with plotts. I averaged 170 cats a year with walkers, but 723 cats a year with Plotts. I think this will clearly show which is the better hound when it comes to lions, let's not even talk about bear. Oh, and I no longer had any vet bills.

Wow release, I know you catch a lot of lions but 723? When did you guys get from Japan? I talked to Yoshida three days ago and he said you guys killed a lot of bear. He wants four more pups ASAP. Two more weeks until lion season, it sound like we need to get some Mutts or Walkers to tree a Puma. Maybe we can take a trip and get some top notch cat dogs

Let me know when you decided to break down and make the trip to Wi. to get some top notch lion dogs, I'll take a couple for sure, I hear alot about those guys up there getting second hand info on lion hunting and such, bet those dogs really know how to work a lion through the cliffs and rocks.

Huh, very impressive. In your post, I didn't read any quotes on how those pups are doing on lion. I believe this was about lion dogs not patting yourself on the back. So, maybe you should get some knowledge and sense on lion hunting and then leave your remarks. Happy bobcat hunting on the big blocks of land with a road every square mile!

Advice well taken houndmen, like nolte said, these wi dogs cant do nothing, so why share breeding, percent of pups, or anything else with you experts, i think I will just stay back and listen to your wisdom

Don't put me in that category, I never said anything about your dogs. I don't think that because you are in WI your dogs couldn't perform here. The topic was walkers vs plotts I said walkers are better and I couldn't really tell in your posts but I think you said walkers as well. there you have it, common ground found.

Yep nothing to it. A guy can stack cats with reckless abandon here. Quit your job, head east and make a fortune. Should be easy money to guide hunters, train dogs and roll out cat catching SOBs like nothing. It sounds you got it all figured out, out that way. Since that is no longer a challenge you might as well come this way and coast on easy street for awhile.

Nolte you cant be bragging and telling all of our secrets, he will be leaving his job, family, and selling everything he owns to prosper here. Just because we have to run overload springs on our trucks, to get the days catch home, isnt that normal Probably going to need to teach him how to stack the cats just right to get them all to fit. Always tell a newbie, they have to pull a trailer the first few times, until they meet up with a local and learn the proper way to stack them monsters. When you get word he has arrived, I sure would like to get a picture of his face, when he see's a map and there isnt a square block or mile within 40 miles of me, should be a kodiac moment.

Larry you must have hunted here before. The only problem with this rugged country is there is no mountain contours to follow, these swamps all look the same, that darn van Johnson, I cant even hunt him in late afternoon, the last time I did, He kept me out half the night fetching him out of these swamps I thought they were following me out, him and Ernie got so close, I could hear their voice , and off the other direction, they went. That was at ten pm. It was twelve thirtey am before they run out of ground to stay lost they hit the creek and stayed right in the water as they knew it crossed a good road, can you believe they were walking in circles, half the night and they accused me, that I kept moving the truck and horn they were walking to

little thing called gps solves that problem pretty quick. I have heard of people getting lost in cornfields too, or maybe thats how you get those bragged up dogs such a reputation, you start em in those treacherous cornfields! I guess because a guy can get lost in a swamp that means the game there is that much harder for dogs to catch???

Dont know Larry, Just sitting back letting your experts tell us how to do things here Better check your GPS, there isnt a corn field for 30 miles And if there was, you better have go nads ,the size of basketballs, to crawl in and kill a bear in a corn field, that might just sort a few of you experts out
