Best food for the money?

Post by bigfatfarmer »

Just wanted to know what you all think is the best food for the money. I used to feed purina. Right now I am feeding black gold. If you have anything better I would like to know and where to get it too.

I was feeding black gold but the price was getting way to much. Then went to feeding red fanel same protein as black gold but cheaper.

My dogs got T-Bone last night and I think they will get a Leg of lamb tonight (had to clean out the freezer for new meat). But we rotate our dog food, just like horse and cow feed they are all close to the same but each one has a little more of one key ingredient the the next. we just stay away from corn meal

I buy one ton at a time from the local distributor and he delivers it to my house. Find out who your local distributor is and buy in bulk. I can't imagine buying it retail. You should save $5-$8 dollars a bag.

I have fed black gold and like is always said it got too $$$. I've tried ol roy high protein to It wasn't bad but I kept tryin to find somethin I liked for just as good a price. I feed Hi Standard now for the same price you get ol roy houndnem. And thats if i dont buy it by the pallet. As of right now I have quit lookin I really like Hi Standard and have no complaints. I usually get a lot better deal and buying a pallet is a lot more convienent and cheaper.

I had a buddy feedin that popular high dollar stuff and it messed up two of his males thiroids. who knows what is good for them? I guess we all just keep feedin what has worked for our dogs over the years and pray for the best.
