I got out Tuesday and was able to get one treed with my new dog Ozzy. We let this one go to chase another day.

You run a garmin alone, no telemetry too ?

I run both gps and telemitry. I dont and cant fully trust the garmin. Its great to have the map and see what every dog is doing but the lost signal and short battery charge makes it nessasary to run both.
It was a great run, started at 8 am and I got back to the truck at 5 pm with leg cramps so bad that it was hard to drive home. The cat didnt cover a huge area but she lost the dogs in the rocks after we jumped her up, that cost us a few hours. The cat kept crossing those same nasty rocks that she lost the dogs in early in the chase but my new dog ozzy only got hung up the one time. Had I leashed him up faster it would have saved me alot of walking as she jumped out of the first tree after a half hour rest and traveled about a mile back into those same nasty rocks before climbing another tree. I hope she stays close to the area she was in because it doesnt see much hunting so she should be safe from being shot and Id like to run her a few more times this winter.

Yes Ozzy is Nitros brother. Hopefully I will get up that way this spring to hunt with Jake and they can have a family reunion.
