AVERAGE AGE?

Post by DC DOGGIN »

What is an average age for an early startin pup to start runnin its own track and treein it's own game? I got a pup right now thats out of my old varmit dog and she is striking her own tracks and movin em good i have never seen anything like it. She just turned 6 months old. Lets hear some stories of early startin pups catchin game or anything unusual and exciting.

I've got some here that just turned 7 months old, and they are hunting fools. They run and tree. If I let them I bet they'd run just about anything I let them. They are also some of the grittiest pups I've had.

Most of my pups are running and treeing 4-6 months old, and can or have caught game solo by 9-11 months old.

that's my schedule too. although they are all different and some are better than others.
"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.
