Dogs are gone damn the luck
All rite im ready to talk about what happened . I decided to get into hounds and looked long and hard for the type of dogs that would be good for my kids and I to hunt after finding them we got two pups and an older female that was the best pup trainer one could want after a year of training and hard work we were about ready to start. Here is where it goes south I come home from work and see my daughter standing in the driveway with a bad look on her face when I ask what happened she told me that my 2yo boy had let the hounds out of the kennel and they took off and she and my oldest boy (7) had been looking everyware and could not find them so I went looking the rest of the day and could not find them put adds in the papper and checked the pound with no luck it been two weeks and nothing I dont know if they struck a track on the rivver and headed out of the country or if someone stole them or shot them what ever it sucks and lets the air out of you if you know what i mean. I couldnt get mad at the little one he just wanted to play with them. I have vowed not to give up and to start over it just takes so long and so much hard work but I guess thats why we do it wish us luck. Just wanted to vent a bit thanks for reading.

Don't give up, I've had dogs gone for weeks and have always gotten them back. Any chance they were micro chipped? Even if they show up at a vet or pound anywhere accross the country, you'll get a call to verify the owner. This is exactly why everyone should micro chip your dog. First line of defense against stolen dogs is to brand them, second is microchipping. Third is a .44!

Check Craigslist. You would be suprised how many animals end up on CL. Well meaning people pick them up, keep them for a few weeks and the give them away.

And don't forget petfinder.com for the same reasons. But I'm not so sure about the "well meaning" part.

Good luck with your dogs. I agree with questioning the "well meaning" locals around Winslow. The guys that hang around Circle K and other places are always looking for a quick buck to get some more "pain relief". Once again, good luck.
