"Houndn'em Bluetics" a nice tom(new pic added)

Post by houndnem »

I booked a client named tom from northern utah who had drawn an expo tag for lion. he booked a 5 day hunt with us. the first two days of his hunt the conditions were horrible but we did manage to tree a female. I told him to hold out for a tom and he was cool with that. on day 3 of his hunt it was raining and blowing hard all night and into the morning. we found a track on a wind blown flat and cut em loose. I fed every dog into the race including my 6 month old pups. we followed on the garmin and got to a big open flat where we watched the dogs trail for over 20 minutes. I have never got to see a race like this before. even my pups were leapfrogging and opening the track! my best female that gets credit for every cat I catch never lead once, just kinda came with them and kept them honest. as luck would have it we ledged him up 50 yrds from the wheeler! got there and he was a shooter so tom got a tom and his patience payed off. when we got to the ledge , my 6 month olds were fece barking the lion!! I was happy with them to say the least.

Thanks bo d. I guess that's fair. but just so you know I don't just go around trying to tear everybody down. just when I hear stories of 160 lb females or stories that just don't even add up at all I like to question it a little to get to the bottom of it. if you read more of my posts it's usually just congrats. usually if I tell a tall tale there will be pics included just cuz I know the critisism goes both ways .thanks for the feed back though, Jared.
