sunburst saturn light.
Was just wondering if the sunburst Saturn light up collar is good. Thanks from Michigan!

Just got mine last night and haven't used it yet. Seems pretty good, was just wondering if any one is using them.

I have used them for over 4 years.... just got thru replacing the batteries... this time I went with NMMH sub c's last about 3 times longer! .. But I sure do like them! can see just what the dogs are doing even though my hearing is about gone..
had a couple of tubes burned out.. got replacements from them no problems.
a little resistor corroded off and they sent it NC.. Jim Gatton is good to work with!
it is no problem to locate the dogs if you get in the general direction of them.
a big plus is that you can enjoy the race and know if the hound is locating right or skipping past a tree when the other hound(s) have locked down.--- sure tells tales!

Lights on a dog are a sweet way to hunt at night. I got 3 saturns a couple years ago. Now they are all broken. They didn't hold up well to the abuse we gave them. They didn't do well in water. And it is pretty bulky for just being a light. I now use the LED Collar Light sold by Nite Lite. They are small (attach to another collar), they are 10 times brighter than a saturn (actually blinding up close). They are cheep. They do well in water and hold up against abuse. The batteries are cheep and last a long time. If you want the 3 saturns I got you can have them, heck maybe they just need new batteries. Actually the green saturn I got works sometimes. I hope the one you got works for you. If it doesn't I would get a refund and go with the ones in Nite Lite.
