Definitely would like to see this bill passed. It's a much stronger bill than the Pilot program and would definitely be a Good thing for us.

Mic Give me a call when you get the chance if you've got some question about this bill, I can't remember if I've emailed you lately or not.. I've been meaning to give you a call for the last couple weeks about this.

Depending on the weather and if I'm in town I'll try and make the meeting, but I might be camped out that weekend.. unless you want to try to talk Matt into holding it up there at his place depending on who was planning on coming.. If it's only a handful.. A couple of the members have tags for that area..

Can the public attend the meeting on the 18th? I take it what you are saying is ask to have them add an amendment to add black bears under the same situations? Will this frusturate them? Should we only go after what is on hand here? I really hope people get on the computer and email their legislators. We have been working on this for some time now. I hope all those that don't care about cougars realize that once this inacted we can then focuse on the black bears. We need to fight the battle we are in right now, then move on to the next fight. It is happening the ways have asked for it to happen, and we are getting these animals listed and handled different. We are taking it out of King counties hands. Let's get this passed.

My understand they want open cougar hunting use hounds on season. I happen to add two people names being attacked by bears last year. Do u want to be next. Think about it. Your people vote for u. Help us. We pay fee toward wdfw pocket. Save tons dollars on all bears complaints.

Attend to meeting. Not sure. I am not good at those but I am willing help for all houndmen to get back in wood. Because I love to hunt. And I know all ur feeling.

Very easy to follow the links and email the legislation. I touched on the topic that the Dept has spent tax payers dollars on a 6 year study that has proved that hounds are a viable resource to the Dept. I touched on the facts that houndsmen never kill lactating females or spotted kittens. We have time to think about our decision, rather then making an impulse decision on an animal that has just appeared. We had professional studying whether this was the right way to go for the dept. and all fingers point yes. I tried to sound courteous and professional. I hope everyone on here will take the 5 minutes to follow the link above an send a proper email to our reps.

I don't think it's a meeting on the 18th it will probably be up for debate on the house floor. At least that's my understanding.

And yes I do think you can go, but your not going to be talking, you can just hear what they have to say about it. I think there is audio that is recorded that we can listen to afterwards or even live.

So far one of my legislators has gotten back to me. I won't print a name because we never know who is reading this, but they are in support and will vote yes on this bill. It really surprised me. They may get a vote from me and they of the wrong political party.

Well thats a good sign mic! People living on the westside are going either make or break, the bill! I believe most of the legislators on the eastside support it, but hopefully some of the westside legislators will support it and they really listen to people in their districts! And yes king county is still our opposition!lol
