First year hunting and lovin it!
First year hunting and lovin it!
This is my first year hunting by myself and I have already treed 5 cats and killed 2. This is the most fun I have ever had. I only have 3 dogs but I spent some pretty good money on 2 dogs, one older and one younger then a yearling and they are doing great. It is amazing how much you can learn from good dogs. I will try to get some pics up later but I havent been on the computer much since season started. And I gotta go now because it snowed today and the quota here is about full so we are going to hopefully chase some tomorrow, gotta go.
Re: First year hunting and lovin it!
congrats, sounds like an amazing year. Cant wait to see the picks. Whats the limit in your area?
Happy hunting

Just making sure we're not discouraging young or new hunters. I'll agree he did sound excited, maybe that's why he wasn't so clear about what's going on. Give him a chance to explain before you jump down his throat. Myself , I instantly thought he was hunting with friends that didn't have hounds. Maybe I'm wrong and I'm not saying that I'm not. Let's just keep it positive if at all possible.

London congrats on your success. Keep the stories coming and dont worry about people like Shadowhunter. For some reason there are people on this board that try their darndest to start an argument. Just ignore them and keep on hunting.

Re: First year hunting and lovin it!
I was thinking about posting about my season but I am getting a little scared to. Maybe if I have Shadowhunter proof read it for me to cut down on any confusion. Then maybe he could help me prepare my "rebuttals" just in case some dumbasses still get confused.

Re: First year hunting and lovin it!
Well, I've been hunting bare ground hard and heavy this week. The few tracks I've found are older and the one that the dogs could move headed into some 100 ft. rock bluffs not long before dark. I pulled em off that one. I ai'nt caught a lousy thing! So congrats to the new hunter and anyone else who is catching stuff. I'm wondering if I can catch a cold! More than likely someone can fault this post as well.
when in doubt turn em out
