Hmmmm.....do you live near the border of Alberta they have a bunch collared for a study in Crowsnest Pass that can easily go for a walk. Study is to determine "corridor" effect of a major highway through a pass in the mountains. For sure cats stick to the linear path/elevation of the mountain pass (east to west travel) but surprise!!!! they do cross the road, and walk by houses and eat the deer/dogs/cats in town. Our tax money well spent again!! They could have asked the local school bus drivers who see them cross or the highway employees that pick up the road killed ones "if" they cross the highway....anyways.
It would be interesting to find out, because the last study done in Montana was over between Missoula and Lincoln ( I imagine you were hunting in the Belts). I know last year a guy shoot a Tom over by Lewistown that came from The Black Hills of South Dakota.

good guess it was from the last study area thought the collars were removed. keep up with your pictures justin you will be making movies and be famous before you know it
Next time I will take another road trip and verify first
Take a chill its not like its a national secret, they have been doing the study there and seeley for awhile and yes I know the study is done but no all the lions collars are not collected and if you wish to confirm that you can call Tony or Grover. I'll make sure not to post in your threads again

What ya mean Scott? Your guess didn't seem to bother me or anyone else besides mr. secretive, better not post photo's like that if you don't wanna have to do some explaining. By "like that" I mean obvious reason for questions to be asked, a tracking collar for example...
