this weekends yotes, R.I.P BIG JAKE

here`s 3 yotes we took this weekend, 2 where shot, 1 bayed up in a log about 18ft in. my old hound big jake finally gave up at the last bay. he was 12 yrs old and had over 300 yotes killed in front of him. i will say he died doing what he loved, his heart gave out at the bay in the log. we were all there and one of the group was even petting him as he fell over dead. he will be missed greatly, but he also has some top notch hound out there out of his line.

Sorry to hear about Jake, but if a man had to chose how the end would come for an honorable hound, that would be the ultimate way to go. I pray his offspring continue on with his legacy.

Nice way to go if you have to go. KC you dont see many foxhounds get that old so I know he had to be a good one sorry about that. Great last pics, every time you look at them Jake will come to mind.

PS some bitch coyote will be having pups there in a few months no doubt.
