SNOW SHOES

What brand do all of you use and how do you like them? Anybody using the MSR plastic ones, look like they would work good in the brush.

Do yourself a favor and get some Tubbs. They are among the priciest, but they ergonomically friendly and are easier on aging joints and muscles than some of the cheaper brands.

I have used them all, personally I don't like like the bindings on tubbs. I use msr lightning ascent 30's, yeah there 300 bucks, but there the lightest, have the best traction and best bindings in my opinion, when you strap them on, they stay on!

These are the ones I use, have used many others and the msr lightning ascents are the best I have used.

larry i realize this is about a year late but heres my 2 cents....get the tubbs with the REACT bindings. ive never used the msr's but the REACT bindings on the tubbs are amazing. it takes me maybe 15 seconds to get them on/off and once your foot is in they dont move. they are very maneuverable in the brush and ive conquered more than 1 cattail slough with them. i have even sprinted across a lake or 2 to cut a coyote off. the only gripe i have with them is they dont float you in fresh powder the greatest for that id go to a more traditional webbing type shoe.
