TOPPER AGAIN

Post by nosler »

I have been working with my two pups for the last 3 -4 months. Gunner is another great dog from Topper Again & only 8 1/2 months old. Rosco is a smoky river bread dog @ 11 months. Yesterday cut a lion track that looked to only be from early that A.M. Started walking dogs on the track until they opened up then turned gunner loose. few minuts latter turned Rosco loose. they were gone. I continued to stay on the track. About 3/4 or a mile the dogs seem to have jumped him . when i got to that point I found the fresh kill. the deer was still bleeding from the nose . I could hear the dogs going down the canyon . Not long after that the Garmen showed the dogs to be treed. As i got to the rocky edge. I could see them below me . They were going crazy at the tree. By the time I got there the cat was gone. I think he had jumped from the tree to the rocks & and was gone. The dogs did not pick up on that sneeky move. By now it was almost dark . so gathered up the dogs & headed back to the truck. For the dogs first chase I could have not asked more of them. Next time maybe we will put him up to stay. Andy thanks again for the great pup from TOPPER.

Ken, glad the pup is working out for you he was born 6-22-10 so he would just be a little over 7 months of age. Glad he is trailing and treeing keep up the work with the pups and in time it will all pay off. later, Andy
