I hunted it years ago for bear. It was great for bear. Never hunted it for lion in the winter but we did tree few lion there while we were riding the mules in for bear.

Forest Service/BLM on the tops, Lots of posted private in the bottom. If you go south even more private....

The land owners are definately not friendly in that county...they don't take kindly to trespassing dogs

I had very good luck getting permision from land owners and very freindly, but that was 20 years ago. :wink:
