how to update the garmin astro 220

Trying to figure out how to update my astro any help?

Google "Garmin WebUpdater"

Install that program.
then just plug in your Cable to your computer and run that program it will step you through everything and check the Version and tell you if there is an update.

Well im asking cuz my garmin isn't tracking my collars. Like it does but it will take forever to pick up and I have it on the 5 sec setting and it will take way longer and I have to use the long rang antenna even for with in 1 mile. We put my collars on my buddies and they worked great. Any suggestions?

Yea your probably going to need to send it in for repair. Check your Antenna connections really good and make sure that the Pin in the Antenna are making good contact. But that is an issue with these garmins that they have to head out for repair more than most people would like.

If you bought it from me I can send you a loaner while yours is out for repair. Garmin is normally pretty quick but with the UPS and Weather I don't know how much they are backed up what. I'm having a hard time getting UPS to get shipments moving around the Mid west with UPS so i would guess garmin is also.

Well my buddy and I switched our antennas and mine worked on his. I guess I will send it back to lc supply. Thanks for the information tho

Check that connector real good. Have said it many times, and will again. One needs to only just barely tighten the antenna down. To tight, and the friction will cause the nut to loosen, Which in turn causes the solder connection to break. Since people are learning to be more careful with high power VHF radios this has become the number 1 problem. I have even seen people put a wrench on the connector. Then say it keeps turning!!

Well contacted lcsupply and told them about my Garmin problems. I sent it in last friday and they sent me a brand new one got it in the mail today!! Didn't expect it to be that fast.
