Short messages of support for SB 5356 Houndhunting Bill are needed.
The Senate Natural Resources Committee is meeting today to discuss this bill. This is the senate version of the bill to have future Cougar Hound Hunting permits in Washington. Please send a short email of support to the following committee members and the pertinent WDFW managers involved in cougar management:

http://apps.leg.wa.gov/billinfo/summary ... #documents . It appears HB 1124 made it to senate. You can read details by clicking on committee materials. A new page will appear, on the left hand corner find 5356 and click on Bill Text, Bill Report, and Fiscal Note.

I received a personal reply from my district senator today in the mail, and he wrote:SB 5356 did not make it to the house floor for a vote and is technically "dead" for the rest of the 2011 Legislative Session.
That really sucks, its not over just has to go through he hoops again if the pilot program is to continue.
