I have G2 EXP and three collars they have been good to me so far. I have noticed that I only get about 2 days out of a collar when it is really cold out. Also I traded my old set up in on this new one direct from tri tronics and they were great to work with.

so i can trade my old set in towards something from tri tronics? or did i mis understand that. that would be great if i could do that. i dont think my collars are strong enough for my hound. i had it on him yesterday after being charged for 2 days. he was barking all day long so i had enough. anyways i put it on him and every time he barked i zapped him. didnt work. alls he did was bark at the collar zapping him so i put it on high and did it. he would bark so i zapped him. he would cirlcle around squeeling and crying and when i would stop zapping him he would bark even more like he was pissed off at what ever was biteing him. is that normal? finally he caught on and stopped barking and i havent heard a peep out of him sense but it made me wonder if my collars are not strong enough for my hounds. i have the D T systems collars right. thank you all for your help

Collars

Post by Darvin Ecklund »

I had a DT about 15 years ago- Tri Tronics is the way to go. I bought the G2 six dog system a little over a year ago and I just sent 3 of them back to get fixed. They had a little problem with the part that connects the unit to the collar. I talked to the rep. and she told me that they had fixed the problem. Great system! Oh and by the way, a person use to be able to trade their old system in and get a bit off the price for a new one :D Not sure if this is still true.
