which breed do u reccomend

Post by duke7581 »

This might sound like a strange question but im at a lost of what to get. I own two teckels that i have been having a lot of fun running rabbits with the problem is we have alot of yotes and wolfs in our area and am pushing my luck only a matter a time they get one of them. Im looking to get a dog that will hang around me and the dogs while were out hunting and if a coyote comes around he'll protect the pack from the yotes. A bunch of guys around me run yotes and cats but im not sure i wanta hound, because im afraid ill be hunting for him while hes hunting yotes and whatever else. i dont mind if the dog is hunting the woods around us just not take off and go for miles after something. I was originally looking at getting a walker or plott and was gonna do some yote hunting also with them but now am thinking maybe a mountain curr and train it as a decoy dog also. whats your thoughts. thanks Jim

I'd probably use a cur or dogo or a curXdogo cross.

good luck
