gun shy

i actually read this joke part on an article about gunshy dogs but I got a kick out of it I thought you guys might like it to. so I guy sets up a hunting trip and he has a vetreran hound and his buddy just got a new pup and asked if he can come along so the pup can learn some from the older dog they get out to the woods and they turn the the dogs loose and the guy who is way more expierenced noticed that the other mans pup was acting very timid but the kept hunting and the had finally treed there game so the new guy was all exited but his dog wasnt barking so the younger guy kept slappen the bark and yellen talk to em boy come on talk to em. then the younger man turns to his friend and says well do you have the shot or not. the older guy says ya I got it and the other guy said well what are you waiten for take em, so the older gentelman fires and the young dog ran from the tree so fast you would of thought he got shot. so the young guy throws his hat down and stomps on it then goes and sits on a stump and says I had no idea my dog is gun shy so the older guy walks up behind the guy and fires off a round the man on the stump jumped ten feet and looked at him and said are you crazy and the older guy said oh im sorry I had no idea you were gun shy
