Brent, here is the link to the schedule on the FWP website...

I read thru it and there are some interesting topics that they plan to cover. I would like to attend but my schedule won't allow it. Are you planning to attend?

Thanks for posting the link to the workshop.
I plan to go.
In my opinion, there is a need to address the fact that many several current management decissions are being based on old studies that "hold crediable reference material" but not current data in which a state or province should be making population management decissions on today.

The one they had in Wyoming was good in 2002. I wasn't able to attend, but I was given the book of all that was covered. It was a very good and informative read.
I like my men like I like my mountains...... Rugged, challenging, and WILD!!!

Yes it is open to who ever wants to attend.
$250.00 registration fee for the workshop.
I do not think they have a day fee..

I am sure there will be some interesting info and likely a few debates regarding quotas and female harvest as well as the over all views of Cougar Management for many of the states as well as here in Canada.
I hope to learn alot and will be glad to share what was learned to the rest who can not make th workshop.

I was really hoping to make it....... unfortunatly it doesn't sound like my new "boss man" is putting the trip together for us like I asked, so I guess I'll stay home and work.
Should be a really great event for any of you that might be questioning going or not. Some of the names I heard that wll be giving presentations should be really good.

Brett, thanks for posting this. PChaser, I think it's great that you have an interest in attending. We need more younger houndsman, not only participating in our sport but taking an active, postive interest in it from participating in the discussions on this board with houndsman that have been around the block (and in some cases around the block again, and again
), to getting to a day or two of the event mentioned in this thread, to joining state and local hounds groups, to one day have a role as an officer, etc in those groups. enjoy the event if you get to attend any of the days. Paul conway.
Re: Who's Planning to Attend the Mountain Lion Workshop in M
It would be nice to see MT go to an all male quota and no females being killed.
