tire size is not as important on a toyota as tread pattern! an all season tire that works good in snow on a full size is horrible on a toyota, make sure you go with an open lug design, like mud kings or les swab wild countrys work very well in snow on a toyota!

Check out the goodyear duratrac I've got them on my ford and they work great open lug on outside when u need it and a more all season tread row in middle good for the hard pack.I'd go with 31x10.50x15 Later Bryan

Yeah, I have some Wild Country TXR's on mine. Great tires on and off the road. I have about 70k on them, and they still have decent tread on them.

Stock tires are 30x 9.5 on the older models then they went with 31x 10.5 on the later models. The stock size will give you the best MPG and also would be the best in snow. I would stick with the stock size tire. When you go wider, they don't work as well in snow.

I have 235/85r16 on my 90 yota and i believe that they work a little bit better than stock tires. That size is comparable to about a 32X9.50 so you get a little bit more ground clearance out of them and they are a skinny tire that really digs in the snow which i believe a skinny tire that digs is a lot better than a wide tire that floats in most cases with snow conditions.

This web sight has some tires i was considering at real reasonable prices.

Maxxis big horn is what I run on my Toyota. I would stick with more of a mud tire. Like the sxt mt or maxxis and keep it around your stock size. Look in the door panel on the placard it will give ya the stock size

it says my stock size is 225/75/15 thats 28.3 in it has some 235-75/15 hwy ties on it now and it goes just fine but just seeing how big i can go without underpowering it i figured this would be the best place to ask because we all use them almost the same way and nobody i hunt with has small trucks so none of them really know

a 235/75r15 is 29.1 tall and 9.1 wide. (approximately) If your really worried about power and just want a little bit more tire go with a 30X9.50 and you shouldn't even be able to notice the difference. My suggestion is to try the 31X10.50 and you will barely notice a power differance, the hill you used to zip up in 5th you might need to shift down to 4th. If you get the 31X10.50 its about right in the middle of what you can do with a stock truck and you will be able to tell if its the right size for you or if you want to go a little bigger, or even go back down to around stock size. I would recommend 30/950/15 or the 235 would not go over 31 but that's just me. I m not sure what that year came with as fare as gears

I agree with yotadawger on the maxxis bighorns except that I have had 2 sets of them and they dont wear good on the highway. Id go with 31x10.50's
