Hello Bency

They was hunted in the wild. Once in the ranch in Corrientes provice, We have to go 2 hours in tractor, use a canoe to croos the river, 45 minutes on horse to reach a cabin in the middle of nowhere (you can see it in one of the photos); from there, half hour more to reach a small lake with an island in the middle, my friend hunt one there, I could shoot one near to that cabin (the mine was "the easy one")

Very Nice..

Welcome to the site.
I moved this to the Other Hunting section since I noticed that I forgot to explain that the BigGame section I had was with dogs, This Other hunting section is for any type of hunting!. ;)

Anyways looks like an awsome hunt!

exactly what critters do you all have for hunting down there? I am seriously considering relocating after i retire from the Marines. Can you still pick up an estancia in patagonia for cheap (by US standards)?

animals in Argentine

Post by cordobahunter »

Hello Pops! and sorry for the delay, I was busy guiding:

In Argentine are a lot of animals, in Patagonia and other places, we have Red stag, wild boar, Axis deer, Blackbuck antelope, Puma, Water buffalo, Fallow deer, Collared peccary, Brocket deer, Feral goat, Feral ram, Capybara, Ñandu (argentinean ostrich), yacare (argentinean crocodile); also: Duck, Partridge, Bush partridge, Goose, and of couse in Cordoba provice we have clouds of Pigeons and Doves (they are plage).

Small game also have: hare, fox, vizcacha (like a log squirrel), otter ... well a lot.

Reffering to buy a farm here: always will be cheaper that EEUU, our money is more than 3 times cheaper (3.2 to be accurate), so a farm in Argentine with the same caracteristic that one located in EEUU, must be convenient to you.

By the way, lately we had 2 marines hunting here, they work at the EEUU embassy in Buenos Aires.
