Adding Tuff Skin Antennas

This is how I add them with heat shrink tubing to help support them.
Conkey's on left Buddy's on right.

I use 1 inch heat shrink.

Thanks for the tip. I started off w/ some electrical tape, but your way is much cleaner.

just did mine it works pretty good kinda tough to get it over the buckle but it does fit. not as nice compact and clean as the stock antenna but hopefully it adds a little range.

How do the tiff skin antennas work? Do they add more range?

i just installed 3 havent tested them out yet tho. i figured if nothing else i at least have extra antennas

You will see (or I did anyhow) 1/2 to 3/4 mile more range out of them. I have 6 collars and played around with them some with half having stock and the others tuff skins.

dont know what was going on today i left the three collars outside with the new tuff skins on and put my new magnet roof mount on the truck and drove off all collars lost signal at only 1.7 miles!! picked them back up at 1.3 :/ not so sure what the deal is last time my collar with the stock antenna and just the folding antenna on my astro i got 3 miles but ran out of road in the direction i was driving. so tomorrow im gonna retry and drive the same route and make sure i can at least get the three miles i got the first time on that route.. and my oldest collar lost signal last and picked it up first. the other two are fresh out of the box never even been on a dog yet. didnt even turn them on with the stock antenna..
