that's awesome! that's how I roll down here in utah as well. I have had hound guys from all over the world come down and hunt. some of them are sh%t heads, but 99.9 % of them have became great freinds. if all hound guys would take on more of this attitude we would have alot less problems.

I got a call of a lion in the fossil creek area a couple of days ago but i was else where and fossil creek is a big area and i dont know that 6a country at all or i might of tried it.

lion season is closed in the areas i hunt but i know 6a is open year round unless the quota has been filled ( if im correct on that) and i have run into guys who have seen me in "thier piece of country" and ask me what im doing there, you know how it is. So I tend to stick to the ares i am familiar with and not to many people seem to go.

It sure is refreshing to see you offering others to come along on your hunts. way to go!

On public land. It is idiotic to try to intimidate anyone that is there doing legal activities. I have run into that attitude in the past and I just keep doing what I do.
It is all of our property and plenty enough to go around. It is refreshing to see your positive attitudes about helping and hunting without selfishness!!

Arizona Houndsman definitley have a selfish attitude for the most, i usually hunt or try to hunt in those areas no one else does as well, I haven't bumped into any idiots yet that have tried to play landowner of public lands, wouldn't care anyway, would just turn more dogs loose and hunt "their" piece of land even harder and longer!!!

Plus if i hunt alone all the time then who am I to tell all my lies to, I can't believe my own lies for sure!!!

azhoundhunter, you are correct. 6a is a multiple quota unit where a guy can go get a lion then buy another tag and get another until the quota is filled. When I still lived in AZ I use to spend all my time in the summer in 6a chasin those long tails.

Good luck to ya, maybe give ya a shout in August when I come down to do some bear hunting.
