Running an all hound pack here in the mountains of NC right now. advantage is they cover alot of ground. Disadvantage is the are loud mouth on track. If it wasnt for hunting bear at the same time, I would most likely go to silent dogs.

Catahoula, BMC, Kemmer, Mountain, Parker, and son on. I have had some good cur dogs, but went through several to get them. I can honestly say that i never came across a solid bloodline. A few solid dogs but no solid bloodlines that i could count on to through good pups on a regular basis. The best dog I have ever owned was a black catahoula, but I guess he was an exception. My fav cur dogs are BMC because they seem to have a little more drive, But I prefer hounds over any.
