???How many???

Post by skot1120 »

I was curious to know peoples opinions on how many dogs to run on a mountian lion? Would one older grity dog and two 6-13 month pups be effective enough to tree big toms. WHAT is YOUR opinionPS im always looking for my next dog!! (bobcat, coon, lion)

2 dogs will probably tree more lions than a big pack of dogs, but 1 bad day could leave ya training pups for the next couple years. Ideal in my opinion would be two main dogs and two up and coming pups at all times.

"Houndn'Ems Blueticks" if it smells like a cat, they'll catch it.

I hunt with friends and family... been on chases with alot of dogs. Most of the funnest hunts have been is just me and one or two dogs. I had a run last winter where I had my ol female tree all day by herself. I had another run where my old male and a young pup held a young tom in a tree over night until I got to them...... Two or three dogs I think is best just incase something goes bad, like houndem said
