first time running coyotes

Post by igloo »

this stuff is addictive. i went to my first coyote pen, about 300 acres give or take a few, with about 70 coyotes. we took a 4 year old male that has won 4 state field trials, a female off of him and a 9 or 10 month old puppy, we had really good races even though the dogs were out of shape. the only problem we had was catching them when it was time to go home. i think im about to have a yard full of hounds.

can still remember first time going to pen, had such a good time i wanted to go back the next day for some more fun. they are a great training tool and for getting dogs in shape and warmed up for the winter. i always make a few trips now prior to hunting on outside to get the dogs tuned up

Theres nothing like relaxing and listening to your pack work in a safe place, knowing they are chasing what they are suppose to. Vital tool for the off season
